Embryo adoption. I studied this option 7 yrs ago when we were considering adoption. I have not met anyone who has done this yet. Anyone out there have experience in this? I was too scared I would miscarry but this is such an interesting concept for those that may be able to carry a baby but just cant concieve. Basically, there are tons of fertilized eggs from infertile couples freezing their eggs for IVF but what happens when they have the children they want and they still have healthy embryos frozen?? They have a choice to destroy the left over embryos or donate them or adopt them out. The process of adopting the embryos is basically the same as adopting a child that is born. These are someones children, so there is screening and so on just like with any other adoption. Very very interesting.
